Student Life at AA
The Student Life Office (SLO) is responsible for all activities at Amman Academy. In the lower Grades (1-5), the SLO organizes special theme days for our students that provide them with the opportunity to engage in activities that reinforce the idea that school and learning are fun! The Office is also responsible for organizing Primary fieldtrips.
Fieldtrips are developed in accordance with experiential learning practice, ensuring that our students are applying school-based knowledge and skills to life while they are enjoying new out-of-school experiences.
Our approach to student life shifts in the upper Grades (6-12). We strongly believe that in order for student life to be an intrinsic part of the school atmosphere, our students need to be leaders in the development, organizing and execution of their own activities, thus taking ownership of ‘student life’.
Consequently, the Student Life Office is a place where students bring their ideas regarding events and activities they would like to see at school and receive the help they need to realize these ideas.
Among the events and activities planned are festivals, conferences, parties, clubs and trips. The end results of our approach at Amman Academy are not only a vibrant extra-curricular program but also the development of a pro-active student body that has the opportunity to develop essential leadership and life-skills.
